Branches' reach
Since 1 January 1999, the Statistical Office in Gdansk has covered the area of Pomorskie voivodship. Operating within the structure of the Statistical Office, the branches have a wide range of duties and authorities:
- carry out most of statistical surveys within the territory of their activity, including mass surveys,
- update documentation for representative and mass surveys (maps, situational drafts, registers of buildings, dwellings and agricultural farms),
- provide statistical information to the public and disseminate the results of statistical surveys,
- cooperate with local government units,
- disseminate materials about the SO information resources, access to data and its usage,
- accept applications to the National Official Business Register - REGON and issue certificates of assigned identification numbers.
